Novels and autobiographies are written almost exclusively in the national languages, since authors and publishers want to reach as large an audience as possible. Shorter prose texts appear both in Romani as well as in the national languages.

Novels written in the Roma language, such as those by Alija Krasnići for example, are still waiting to be published. Excerpts from other previously unpublished translations into English and into Romani of a novel by Matéo Maximoff can now be presented for the first time on RomArchive.
