Konteksto

Inskripcija

I wanted to dive into the well

I wanted to dive into the well
of the wonderful language of poetry.
But when I opened the door to my flat
I saw in the corridor
upside down and cuddling up together
my mattresses,
thrown out of the bedroom.
A gloomy premonition took hold of me,
for in that corner of my room
where they had always been,
usually gathered the bare and stammering messages
of my soul, pressed out
of my and the ballpoint’s blood.
When I opened the door
to my bedroom, I began
to tremble with rage deep inside.
In my corner, where anxiety, dreams and hopes
usually embrace, intertwine
and say goodbye to one another,
now a big divan stood – mute.
Crumpled old clothes lay around,
chairs – and in the midst of all this junk,
of this rubbish,
I discovered Celan’s “Atemwende”,
sheets of paper, filled with writing,
broken biros and headphones.
But where, for heaven’s sake,
are Ingeborg Bachmann, Eliot, Rilke, Pushkin,
where is Mariella Mehr and Jovan Nikolić?
“What did you do with them?” I furiously shouted from my room.
“Have a look in the plastic bags!” she answered me from the kitchen.
My first impulse was to break or to tear to pieces what
lay around, and on the spot do something stupid.

But I started to rummage through the Billa-bags,
strewn all over the place,
till I found in one of them
my dear friends and my writings.
But I continued telling her off and cursing under my breath,
because that gave me a feeling of relief.

Nel pozzo della mirabile lingua

Nel pozzo della mirabile lingua
di lirica volevo immergermi.
Aprendo però la porta dell’ appartamento,
vedevo in corridoio
capovolti e addossati densamente l’uno all’altro,
i miei materassi per dormire,
gettati fuori dalla camera.
Un brutto presentimento s’impossessò di me,
poiché lì, nell’angolo della mia stanza,
dove erano sempre stati,
Ovunque c’erano sparsi qua e là sgualciti indumenti logori,
matite rotte e cuffie rotte.

O presimţire rea m-a cuprins,
camerei mele, totul a început
