Seatbelt: slow-motion video performance, 1’ 13”

The video presents an abstract car crash situation as a comparison to all the atrocities that occur in my everyday life as a gay man. The rainbow coloured seatbelt symbolises the gay community which – thanks to its solidarity and through its function – represents safety in such conflicts for this group. This seatbelt is deliberately held by two female friends (meaning: from the opposite gender), hence they highlight the Hungarian and international gay community’s dispersion, respectively the reasons for the formation of a strong emotional and social bond between gay men and women.
