Kirill Kozhanov, PhD, is a linguist at the Institute of Slavic Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences, whose main research interests include Romani studies and Slavic and Baltic linguistic contact area. He has been active in the fieldwork on Romani, collecting data primarily in Russia and other former USSR countries such as Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Lithuania, but also in other countries such as Sweden and Slovenia. An important part of his fieldwork on Romani has to do with recording folklore and narratives about traditional Romani life. He was the creator of the Corpus of texts in Russian Romani (http://web-corpora.net/RomaniCorpus/search/?interface_language=en).
