"daughter-in-law", "sister-in-law", "bride"

In traditional Roma communities, a woman whom a "čhavo" (rom. "son; young Romani man") brings home integrates into his family. Therefore, her relationship with all the members of the extended family is indicated by a single term: "bori". Traditionally, the newlyweds used to live with the groom's family – the bori went to live with her mother-in-law.
