Zoran Sudar is a writer and assistant director who is best known for Posljednja volja (The Last Will, 2001), Nasi i Vasi (2000) and Kamenita Vrata (1992). He holds a degree in film and television direction from the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Art and a degree in comparative literature and English from the Zagreb Faculty of Philosophy. He is the author of a number of promotional videos and TV films.

His film The Last Will earned him the Breza Award for Best Debut and the Golden Gate of Pula Audience Award at the Pula Film Festival, as well as the Večernjakova Ruža Award for Best Feature Film. The film is a thriller about a tour guide – played by Goran Visnjic – in a small town in Dalmatia who inherits millions from a distant relative in the USA only to find himself pursued by professional killers.

Sudar is also the director and the scriptwriter of the TV series Golden Jug and the second season of the TV series Ours and Yours. In 2010, in conjunction with Boris T. Matić, he directed the short movie The Canal, which shows the obstacles faced by young Roma on their path to growth by presenting the story of one boy from a Roma settlement on his road to school.
