MA, historian, Berlin (Germany), studied history and Slavonic studies (Polish and Russian literature). He is currently completing his doctoral thesis at the Humboldt University in Berlin. His 2009 study Der nationalsozialistische Völkermord an den Roma in der besetzten Sowjetunion (1941–1944) (‘The National Socialist Genocide of Roma in the occupied Soviet Union [1941–1944]’) is considered one of the most thorough and pivotal research works on the topic.
