Dr Emilia Kledzik is assistant professor at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, Poland. She specializes in comparative literature, her book Prowincjonalizowanie. Twórczość Jurija Brězana, Wolfganga Hilbiga i Andrzeja Stasiuka w perspektywie postkolonialnej (2013) discusses the postcolonial approaches to Central European literature. She has also published a range of articles on this matter. Her current research focuses on the history of the Polish Roma from a postcolonial perspective. She is working on a book about discursive violence against the Roma minority in Poland in the 20th century.
