Synopsis

The many stories told within Home embody not only the immigrant in London as narrated, but immigrants worldwide. They portray the once-sought dreams turned into nightmares being lived by foreigners in London, and even alienated Londoners. Stories of loneliness are paired with crowds marching through the street; yearning for safety with the dangers of detainee centres. The stories question what home means: the place where you grew up? The place where you live? Is it a guaranteed right, or a question of perception?

Home features personal stories by an international company of artists, aptly named the Home Project Company, who have brought together all of the theatre traditions of their homelands to provide the safety and solidarity that unite all of us: home.
