Description

The 1. Roma Manifesto is a collection of artistic and political demands about the urban space. Based on the history of the Roma and their displacement from urban areas, these posters are supposed to be a sign of “taking a seat” in the public space. The content of the manifesto is based on data from our studies of the history of public recognition of the Roma as a cosmopolitan minority and on artistic ideas of Roma jam Session art Kollektiv on these issues.

The 1. Roma Manifesto is a set of 10 posters in the format DIN – A2. It is a monochrome print. The Manifesto was first published in 2016 by posting it for two weeks on official placards in the city center, in order to announce our symposium Open Theory Lectures in Shedhalle Zurich.
